ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

  1. i reckon that old guy in the clip did that on purpose! he has a perfect backswing and at the top, for some stupid reason, he turns his whole torso to the left on the downswing!
the only way he could do that is if he 'manipulated' the transition.

  2. Thanks Danny. I came across a drill by accident and wanted to see what you thought of it. I have a golf club in my carpeted room and had a poker chip laying on the floor. I tried to hit the chip laying flat on the floor and topped it. It was about the size of a golf ball so I just naturally wanted to take a swing. I have trouble topping the ball and I think this could work for me. I had to really concentrate to hit down on the chip in order to catch the back edge of the poker chip and send it flying. I think trying to hit the back thin edge of the chip with the club face could help me learn not to top the ball. I just wanted to know what your thoughts would be of doing this. Maybe you could adapt this some way into one of your great drills that you share with us. thanks

  3. I can’t say it enough – your way of communicating drills that the average person can relate to and implement is uncanny. Question: The first thing my instructor corrected with me was the club face angle at the top (I was very open) and I still have a tendency to open up if I’m not careful but I don’t hear you talk about that. Isn’t that an important factor?

  4. Really good video cant wait to give it a go at the range . I have been out of play for a while after cutting my thumb on the table saw. Had my worst round with society last week and nearly got the longest walk toilet seat trophy.🤣
Going to watch as many as your videos possible too get back .Thanks in advance I know your video's are going to help ⛳🏌️‍♂️

  5. As an older player, that hasn't played in years, your routines make so much sense in the idea of fluid motions. Equating to the throw of a ball is a skill already learned. Not focusing so much on the output and more so the "core swing" takes away so much of the dread of the outcome. Just let it feel good.

  6. Hi Danny,
Fabulous video's. If I'm not mistaken, a number of months ago you illustrated a similar motion that
you got your father to start doing to help his swing. I incorporated those suggestions and they, like these
are just wonderful instructions no matter what your level of play. They certainly helped me!!!!

  7. G'day Danny, Old habits die hard! However, Yesterday I managed to surrender control enough times, to convince myself to keep trying. I particularly liked a couple of 3 wood shots, in the end, the putter let me down with lip-outs.

  8. Thanks, Danny. Excellent video. I tried the technique this morning and it's so much easier than hitting at the ball, really took a load of stress out of my game, both physically and mentally. Just let go and trust it. A whole new way of playing has opened up to me.
